Originally opened in the 1960s, the Safety Harbor Museum of Regional History has been found at multiple locations including Main Street Safety Harbor, Oldsmar, and its current location off of Bayshore Boulevard.
After deciding to partner with the City of Safety Harbor, the museum took on a new role in the community. It is currently both an active museum as well as a cultural center where community members can take classes, participate in events and programs, rent the facility for a variety of events, and learn about the area’s history.
As part of its partnership with the city, the Safety Harbor Museum and Cultural Center hosted its grand re-opening in December of 2012 after months of renovations. What was yellow is now a welcoming blue building that often hosts parties, weddings, and other events alongside its programs, exhibits, and classes.
Good bye old yeller and hello blue eyes…
Come in and see us! We look forward to showing you around!
